Greetings!

As we near our 110th year, the Des Moines Branch of the NAACP remains steadfast in our commitment to Race & Justice, Education Innovation, an Inclusive Economy, Health & Well-being, and Environmental & Climate Justice.

This year’s theme, "All In," reflects our dedication to these values. After a hiatus since 2022, we are excited to bring back our 47th Freedom Fund Banquet on December 13, 2024, at Prairie Meadows.

We are honored to have Roscoe Jones, Jr., a nationally recognized civil rights attorney, educator, and the 22nd and first Black Dean of Drake Law School, as our keynote speaker. This year, we will also commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Federal Court Consent Decree that integrated the Des Moines Fire Department, honoring the trailblazing Black firefighters who paved the way.

Your partnership is vital to our mission. By sponsoring the banquet or supporting our work, you are helping to shape a more just future for the Des Moines Metro. Sponsors will be recognized during the event and throughout the year.

While the NAACP Des Moines Branch is a 501(c)(4) organization, sponsorships and donations of $2,500 or more made by non-government agencies may be made via the NAACP Collective Action Fund (CAF) for those wishing to ensure their contributions are eligible for 501(c)(3) benefits.

Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions, please contact our secretary Ebonee Woods at secretary@naacpdesmoines.org.

In Solidarity,
